From the legendary stage where Alabama got their start to rooftop bars overlooking the Atlantic — the Grand Strand comes alive after dark. The Bowery on Ocean Blvd has been open since 1944 and is one of the oldest continuously operating bars in South Carolina. The MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet is the best bar crawl on the Strand — five waterfront bars in a half-mile walk.
For live music, House of Blues hosts national touring acts (capacity 2,000+). Fat Harold's Beach Club is the home of shag dancing — South Carolina's official state dance. Legends in Concert has been running since 1983 and features tribute performances of Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Adele. Crocodile Rocks dueling pianos is the best group activity for adults.
