Grand Strand Brewing's outdoor stage is one of the best-kept secrets for live music in Myrtle Beach — no cover, cold craft beer, and a rotating cast of local and regional acts. This Saturday it's Jimmy Randell & The Steel Pines Band, bringing Americana and roots rock to the patio. Perfect timing if you're heading to the Duck Festival earlier in the day — swing by the brewery for the evening set. The taproom has a solid food menu and the outdoor space is dog-friendly.

There will be dancing in the streets — or at least in the aisles of the Alabama Theatre. Forever Motown is a full-production tribute to the greatest hits of the Motown label: The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, The Four Tops, and more. The cast is tight, the harmonies are real, and the energy in that room gets going fast. If you've never been to the Alabama Theatre, this is a great first show — the venue itself is stunning, with perfect acoustics and great sightlines from every seat. Tickets start around $47.95.

Featuring Charlie Floyd, this high-energy tribute delivers all the Toby Keith hits you know — 'Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,' 'How Do You Like Me Now?!,' 'I Love This Bar,' and more. The Carolina Opry Theater is a world-class venue celebrating its 40th anniversary season, and this tribute show has become one of the most popular summer nights on the calendar. Boot-stomping, patriotic, and a whole lot of fun.

All About Animals Rescue is setting up at Grand Strand Brewing on Sunday morning with dogs available for adoption. - Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters — Sunday, July 26
Billy Bob (Bud) Thornton makes his debut on the Alabama Theatre stage as part of the 2026 Morro Rock Tour — in support of their 21st studio album 'In the Bay,' released June 12th. The record draws from '60s pop and coastal California sounds, weaving Beach Boys harmonies and Beatles-influenced songwriting into something that sounds nothing like what you'd expect from the guy who played Karl Childers. Special guest Mark Collie opens. This is a genuinely interesting show — not a nostalgia act, not a celebrity vanity project. The Boxmasters are a real band and this is a real tour.
- Box of Rain: Essential Grateful Dead '68–74 — Sunday, July 26
For the Deadheads on the Grand Strand — Box of Rain is a six-piece band stacked with players from Dark Star Orchestra, Living Earth, Zen Tricksters, and Dead On Live. They focus on the early-era magic of 1968–1974, the raw and exploratory stretch that shaped a generation. If you know, you know. If you've never been to a Dead tribute show, this is a great entry point — the Carolina Opry Theater is a comfortable, air-conditioned venue with great sound.
- SummerFest! at Barefoot Landing — Nightly through August 31
SummerFest is Barefoot Landing's nightly summer entertainment program running through the end of August — and it's completely free. Every night from 7 to 10pm you'll find live music on the waterfront stage, stilt walkers, steel drummers, and street performers working the boardwalk. Weekly fireworks over the lake cap off select nights. It's the kind of thing that's easy to stumble into after dinner and end up staying two hours longer than you planned. The waterfront setting at dusk is genuinely beautiful — one of the best free things on the Grand Strand all summer.
- Original Motown Tribute Show at GTS Theatre — Monday–Tuesday, July 27–28
The longest-running Motown tribute in the country — now in its 38th year. This isn't a one-off tribute act; it's an institution. The GTS Theatre cast delivers faithful, dynamic renditions of hits from The Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and more. If you missed Forever Motown on Saturday or just can't get enough, this runs Monday and Tuesday nights at 7pm.
